Lauren conrad's vintage dress!

So i Finally managed to pick up Lauren conrad's book, style last month at the airport (about time too!) and I read the whole thing on the plane on the way to lanzarote and I love it! It has amazing fashion and make up tips and the photos are gorgeous. In her first-ever style guide, Lauren offers tips on how to create your own unique look, shares her favorite sources of inspiration, and identifies the absolute must-haves for any fashionista’s wardrobe. Along the way, she examines her fashion evolution, from California-casual teen to camera-ready style icon and clothing designer.

In one section of the book she talks about vintage finds she has picked up and how to make vintage clothes more updated and suited to your own style. She shows a beautiful vintage dress from gorgeous fabric with ruffles - but the shape was really outdated, so lauren conrad being the amazing fashion designer she is completely transformed it into a strapless mini dress that i am in love with! - pictured on the right above ^ .

Of course this being vintage and with lauren's personal touch is a one of a kind... but ladies I happened to came across an amazing dupe alternative of this dress on boohoo.com for only €14.00!!! I was nearly convinced it was the same dress, although the ruffles are replaced with feathers which still look amazing! - pictured on the right. This is a complete fashion steal! Love it :D The link to buy this dress is - http://www.boohoo.com/europe/sale/icat/clearance/evening-dresses/keeley-black-feather-dress/invt/azz66958 . Who knows, maybe you could convince everyone it's a vintage one of a kind ;)

Hand bracelets!

So most of you saw Nicole Scherzinger's hand bracelet on the x-factor back in November , ever since i saw it I've been dying for one! It's completely a new and unique idea and I am loving this trend! Nicole's bracelet is from prive jewellery. The bracelets, created to wear around your hand were developed by sisters Sonia and Katia Gaydamak of the Prive Jewellery line.  Stars including Katy Perry, Giuliana Rancic and Victoria Justice are adorning their palms with this statement piece by Prive Jewellery, which is a cross between a bracelet cuff and a tiara. Unfortunately, most of us (probably all of us) cannot afford to be spending thousands on this piece of jewellery like the celebs mentioned and unfortunately enough i have still found no affordable alternatives after searching and googling for hours. I have read that www.miss-viss.com are selling them put i can't seem to find them on the website.
Guiliana Rancic wearing her hand bracelet.

I'm not sure how popular this idea will be though, some have argued that it is easier and more sensible to wear a ring to create the same effect, and others have said that the hand-cuff just looks like a large knuckle-duster. I'm also not sure how quickly this trend will catch on; although some celebrities have already been seen wearing it, I can't really see this entering mainstream fashion in the same way  (and the cost doesn't help!) as I'm not sure whether it is the sort of thing which people may find practical. Either way, it's still an interesting way to bring some sparkle to your look and as i said i personally love it! Until an affordable alternative comes out on the market i shall be wrapping bracelets around my hand! Update: kelly clarkson also wore the hand bracelet in her new video for stronger! kelly clarkson - stronger - official music video

My all time favourite foundation.

And the winner is ... - Laura Mercier silk crรจme foundation. In my long 15 years of life on this planet, I have definitely used a LOT of different foundations, from everybody's favorite - mac to essence (i know, i know!)  but never have I found a foundation that made me actually like the way my skin looked and the only way to cover my diabolical face was layers and layers of foundation which just looked well, cakey to say the least! I could never ever find a full coverage foundation that looked NATURAL ! Until I found my one true love - Laura Mercier. Laura mercier's silk creme foundation is just - WOW. A rich and luminous foundation offering full coverage while hydrating and protecting the skin. But do not be fooled any skin type can use this, I myself having oily-combination skin find this perfect as it's oil free (bonus!). You can completely build what coverage you want using this foundation and it will in no way look like your wearing layers of foundation - completely natural but still FULL coverage without actually looking like it's full coverage if you catch my drift. Amazingness in a bottle. A little bit really does go a long way with this foundation and it lasts ages. This foundation is an investment (Well for me anyway!) at € 48 ($42.00) but trust me it is completely worth it as i said a little goes a looooooooong way.  I personally like to use my mac 148 brush to apply this but it's so blend-able and easy to apply that using your fingers will also do just as good of a job, if not better. It comes in 10 different shades ranging from soft ivory to hazlenut beige. I have the medium ivory but at the time i bought this i had a tan (might have been from a bottle, might have been from the sun) so this is slightly off my skin tone but i still can't help myself from wearing it everyday!  This is most defiantly long wearing and with a bit of powder it will last through the whole day/night. It's perfect for hard to cover skin pigmentation and acne. The average over all rating of this foundation is 4.8 stars although, i would have to give it the full 5 stars. All in all i would recommend this to anyone searching for a full coverage foundation.
